On Team E, the best team ever, we have many unique things compared to other teams across the middle school. We interviewed some of our teachers to see what they say about our team. Miss Beck, our math teacher, had this to say about her class and the team: "The amazing teachers care a lot about their students and each other." Her favorite math project is the United Nations because it is a fun project and it connects to real life situation. Unlike other teams, we have all of our main classes in the first half of the day. After that, we have lunch and specials. We have something called Students of the Marking Period. This is to celebrate the good kids of the team who don’t get much recognition . One of the two language arts teacher, Miss Rabuck, says, "We do a lot of team building activities on the team." During Act 80 day (half days) we get to do team activities. Our student teacher for science, Mr. Eaton, explained that his favorite unit in science is physics. It talks about speed, acceleration, and gravity. He added, "Being a student teacher is not very hard. It’s easy and smooth sailing because of the support. There is a good selection of students and the team is entertaining. Team E for Team Eaton⭐! Our science teach, Mr. Kazakos, likes that there is a mix of veteran teachers and new teachers. His favorite unit to teach is chemistry because there are the most number of labs. Last but not least, Miss Grolemund, said, "All of the teachers are super close like a little family." She explained that a lot of the Language Arts units are new this year, like one of the stories called “The Lady or the Tiger?” She also likes the story that we will be reading called “Harrison Bergeron." In the spring, everyone on the team will do a Team PBL, where we get to design our own project.

Team E is filled with incredibly bright students, who strive to excel in their work. One of the things Team E is doing in class right now is a historical project in history class with Mr. Baublitz. The students picked a topic that had to do with why the Revolutionary War happened, and what led up to it. Then they made a presentation highlighting the important aspects of their topic to present to the class.
Another thing Team E is doing right now is an essay in language arts about a specific disaster or calamity. Each student was able to choose whichever disaster or calamity they were most interested in to further explore. They were expected to write an essay about the causes and effects of their topic. Team E is so excited to continue working on different projects throughout the rest of the year, and learn interesting information that will help in future schooling. - Anslee |
